“We’ve followed Kenny’s career as a player and know that he’s a special talent and a very physical player on the field who’s working hard to earn a spot on the Texans 53 man squad,” added Saginario.  Saginario noted that Hilliard played on the Texans practice squad last year and added that Hilliard is excited about contributing on special teams as well catching passes out of the backfield for the Texans.

Goldsmith noted that Hilliard, an LSU graduate student working towards a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Education, is not only a solid football player. The Foundation assists young people in his home town of Patterson, LA, where Kenny is trying to help re-build a youth football program along with other after-school activities that provide constructive and organized activities with capable mentors to young kids growing up in difficult conditions.

“I’m really excited to get on the field this year and to show everyone what I can do to contribute to the Texans and our chase for a play-off spot.  Equally as important to me are the things I can contribute off the field. There are lots of kids out there that deserve the opportunities I had.  I’m looking to give some of that back,” said Hilliard from his home in Texas. “I couldn’t be more pleased to be a part of Team BIG!”
