OG Burger Magnates Kaufman and Goldsmith, Serve It Up In The Mountains



As summer rolls into the Mountains, The Blue Donkey serves up its Kick Ass Burgers and Bad Ass BBQ in record amounts to visitors and locals alike. In its small but well dressed digs on the Mountain Road in Stowe, Vermont – this family burger joint which was conceived 6 years ago is now cranking out award winning burgers to hungry travelers and burger lovers who flock to the beautiful mountain town year round.
The Blue Donkey which started in New York City on Amsterdam Avenue  in 2004, made it’s way to Stowe in 2009 – when Owners Kim Kaufman And Jimmy Goldsmith decided to buy the Old Roadhouse property on the Mountain Road across from the Stoweflake, With a few renovations and three additions in 5 years the Donkey has become a reliable and tasty option for Burger aficionado’s and BBQ lovers.
Business has been booming and with all the new construction and upgrades on the Mountain Rd. the sky is the limit said Goldsmith. We have recently been approached by developers from other Ski towns who have invited us to expand The Blue Donkey Brand to their home towns, after sampling our fare and seeing us work. At this time we are evaluating our options. We have put a lot of time attention and care in to building the Donkey brand and we are extremely pleased to get noticed.
Brian Cassino Head Chef has taken over the kitchen and improved our quality across the board while lowering ticket times at peak business hours. His experience and culinary talents has raised the bar at the Blue Donkey . Brian has his eye on a breakfast menu he intends to put into play in August and rumor has it there is a Donut Robot on its way, so,  do I hear home made maple bacon donuts ?
General Manager Steven Foster has been on hand since the beginning of The Donkey. His constant over sight and determination to be the best is a big part of the Donkey success. There is never a problem that Steve can’t solve with a smile on his face and twinkle in his eye.
James Malin who has recently returned from Portland OR. and has jumped into rebuild the website and assist on our media platforms. This is an area we have ignored in the past and is getting some much needed attention. Look for our new website shortly at www.bluedonkeyvt.com
The Blue Donkey recently won the Burger and Bud Competition hosted by Farrell Distributing at the home of the Lake Monsters in Burlington, VT. Word is spreading fast about our Burgers and BBQ and we are happy to serve you … see you out there.
